Cần phân biệt Tinh dầu Tía tô (Essential oils) với Dầu hạt Tía tô (Oils).
Dầu hạt được chiết xuất từ hạt Tía tô, có màu vàng, mùi vị giống dầu hạt lanh. Dầu hạt tía tô có thành phần hóa học, tác dụng dược lý khác với Tinh Dầu TíaTtô.
Người ta đã xác định được nhiều thành phần trong tinh dầu tía tô. Trong đó, perilla aldehyde là thành phần chính, chiếm hơn 40%. Đây là chất đặc trưng cho mùi tía tô và là chất chỉ thị chất lượng của tinh dầu.
Một số thành phần khác được xác định như limonene, linalool, caryophyllene, humulene, caryophyllene oxide, và perilla alcohol. Tỉ lệ các thành phần này thay đổi tùy vào vị trí địa lý, khí hậu nơi trồng, thời gian thu hái nguyên liệu.
Lợi ích của sản phẩm:
Khả năng chống oxy hóa: Tinh dầu tía tô thể hiện khả năng chống oxy hóa mạnh. Cụ thể là thành phần Perillaldehyde monoterpene trong tinh dầu có khả năng này. Tinh dầu từ lá tía tô màu tím cho khả năng chống oxy hóa cao hơn và ngăn chặn hình thành LDL – cholesterol tốt hơn so với tinh dầu từ lá màu xanh.
Kháng khuẩn kháng nấm: Tinh dầu tía tô có khả năng kháng khuẩn, có thể kể đến như tụ cầu vàng, tụ cầu vàng kháng methicillin, Salmonella typhi, phế cầu, liên cầu tan máu, trực khuẩn lỵ Shigela, Escherichia coli, Proteus vulgaris…
Ngoài ra, tinh dầu tía tô còn có khả năng kháng nấm gây bệnh ở người. Cụ thể là Candida alibicans, M. mucedo, Aspergillus flavus, Aspergillus oryzae, Trichophyton mentagrophytes, Aspergillus niger, Alternaria alternate, Rhizopus oryzae, và P. chrysogenum.
Hỗ trợ làm giảm triệu chứng trầm cảm: xã hội hiện đại khiến con người đối diện với những vấn đề sức khỏe tâm thần. Perillaldehyde có trong tinh dầu tía tô đã được chứng minh khả năng chống trầm cảm trên chuột. Nghiên cứu khác ở chuột chỉ ra, viên uống chứa perillaldehyde cho thấy tác dụng chống trầm cảm đáng kể. Có thể thấy, tinh dầu tía tô hứa hẹn là một phương pháp tương lai trong điều trị chứng trầm cảm.
Nhờ lợi ích của các hoạt chất có trong tinh dầu tía tô, con người ứng dụng chủ yếu là chất kháng nấm, kháng viêm, làm thơm, thư giãn…
Cách dùng:
Dùng chăm sóc da mặt: pha tinh dầu với dầu nền khác ( macca, hạnh nhân, chùm ngây, mù u…) tỷ lệ 10% tinh dầu và 90% dầu nền. Dùng massa da mặt ngày 2 lần.
Dùng xông phòng: dùng đèn xông tinh dầu, máy khuếch tán, que khuếch tán…
Dùng xông mặt: nhỏ 1-2 giọt tinh dầu vào tô nước nóng, dùng khăm chùm mặt và xông giúp làm sạch và mềm da.
Bảo quản: Đựng trong lọ kín, bảo quản nơi khô ráo, tránh ánh nắng trực tiếp.
Hạn dùng: 24 tháng kể từ ngày sản xuất.
Thận trọng:
Đọc kỹ hướng dẫn sử dụng trước khi dùng.
Không tiếp tục sử dụng nếu phát hiện có mùi, màu sắc lạ.
Không dùng cho những người có kích ứng với bất kỳ thành phần nào của sản phẩm.
